Following are instructions on how to download and install a demo copy of Contractor III plus, a job cost construction accounting software system. The demonstration program that is used to demonstrate Contractor III Plus runs much better in a DOS environment than in Windows 3.1 or Windows 95. Contractor III Plus is a completely different program than the demo and runs very efficiently in both Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. To load and run the Contractor III demo;
1. Download the loaddemo.exe file to your harddisk by clicking on the Download Demo Program link on this page.
Note: Loaddemo.exe is a self extracting zip file.
2. You will need approximatlly 2 mb. of free disk space.
3. Exit Windows 3.1 to DOS or Re-Start Windows 95 in DOS mode.
4. Create a directory named C3DEMO off the root of your hard drive. Example: At the C:\> prompt type "MD C3DEMO" without the quotes and press the {ENTER} key.
5. Copy the loaddemo.exe file into the C3DEMO directory you created in step 3.
6. Change to the C3DEMO directory. Example: At the C:\> prompt type "CD\C3DEMO" without the quotes and press the {ENTER} key. Your prompt should then read C:\C3DEMO>
7. Type "loaddemo" without the quotes and press the {ENTER} key. Note: You will see many files being extracted.
8. Once returned to the C:\C3DEMO> prompt, type C3DEMO and press the {ENTER} key to start the demo program.
9. Follow the on screen instructions.
